Adjacent to the existing training Centre, the own Library-cum-Hostel building of the Academy is situated in an area of 0.49 acres and it is a replica of the existing main building in every respect and the same was inaugurated by Her Excellency, the then Governor of Karnataka Mrs. V. S. Ramadevi on 7th June, 2001 in the presence of Hon'ble Mr. Justice S. Rajendra Babu, the then Judge of Supreme Court of India, Hon'ble Mr. Justice P.V. Reddy, the then Chief Justice of Karnataka, Hon'ble Mr. Justice P. Vishwanatha Shetty, the then President of the Academy and Mr. D. B. Chandregowda, the then Hon'ble Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Government of Karnataka.
On 24th June 2002, Hon'ble Mr. Justice N. Santosh Hegde, the then Judge of the Supreme Court of India inaugurated the newly constructed third floor of the Library-cum-Hostel building in the presence of Hon'ble Mr. Justice N.K. Jain, the then Chief Justice of Karnataka, Mr. S.M. Krishna, the then Hon'ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Hon'ble Mr. Justice P. Vishwanatha Shetty, the then President of the Academy and Mr. Dharam Singh, the then Minister for Public Works, Government of Karnataka. The third floor consists of Computer Training Hall and a spacious class-room which accommodate 40 participants.
On the whole, the entire campus of Karnataka Judicial Academy will not fail to attract the attention of one and all. The campus of the Academy along with its beautiful lawn and garden has already become one of the main attractions to the visitors who come to Bangalore and the Academy has been privileged to have had several distinguished and eminent personalities visiting the Academy and recording their good impressions. The Visitor's Book of the Academy speaks volumes about the excellent atmosphere prevailing in the Campus.
