Induction Course

NATURE OF JUDICIAL EDUCATION IMPARTED IN KARNATAKA JUDICIAL ACADEMY

The Academy with a view to prepare the judges working in the district judiciary of Karnataka State to dispense speedy and responsive justice has been conducting the following programmes

  • (a) For Newly Appointed Civil Judges:
  • Induction courses are conducted to inculcate and imbibe the qualities of a Judge and to make a newly appointed Judge aware of all the basic principles of Substantive Laws, Procedural Laws and skills of writing order sheet, interim orders and judgments. The induction programme is being conducted for the Officers in the cadre of Civil Judges who are newly appointed.
  • (b) For promoted Senior Civil Judges:
  • Newly promoted officers from the cadre of Civil Judge to the cadre of Senior Civil Judge are sensitized about various subjects relating to Miscellaneous Appeals, Regular Appeals, Land Acquisition Matters, Matrimonial Matters, Guardian and Wards Act, Succession Matters, Motor Accident Claims Cases, etc.
  • (c) For promoted District Judges & directly appointed District Judges:
  • Similarly, newly promoted officers from the cadre of Senior Civil Judge to the cadre of District Judges or directly appointed District Judges are sensitized about various subjects relating to Sessions Cases, N.D.P.S. Act, Prevention of Atrocities on Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Act, Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, Prevention of Corruption Act, Criminal Appeals, Criminal Revisions, Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions, Rent Control Revision Cases, Probate and Letters of Administration, Arbitration Act, Public Charities under Section 92 of Code of Civil Procedure, Karnataka Education Act, Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Act etc.
  • Newly promoted officers from the cadre of Civil Judge to the cadre of Senior Civil Judge are sensitized about various subjects relating to Miscellaneous Appeals, Regular Appeals, Land Acquisition Matters, Matrimonial Matters, Guardian and Wards Act, Succession Matters, Motor Accident Claims Cases, etc. Similarly newly promoted officers from the cadre of Senior Civil Judge to the cadre of Adhoc - District Judges presiding over Fast Track Courts or to the cadre of Regular District Judges are sensitized about various subjects relating to Sessions Cases, Criminal Appeals, Criminal Revisions, Rent Control Revision Cases, N.D.P.S. Act, Prevention of Atrocities on Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Act, Probate and Letters of Administration, Arbitration Act, Public Charities under Section 92 of Code of Civil Procedure, etc.,
